Well on New Years Day a trip was made to The Bettws -Y-Coed Railway Musem to aquire a Piko 80 tank, well anyway a deal was struck and one was aquired from a starter set and also the 2 wagons were purchased at the same time !. I made sure Igot the hand book included with the set which is very informative and explains about the greasing etc . It recomends running in at a moderate speed for 30 minutes in ither direction. and after cleaning the wheels and light oiling etc. Well After doing this what a little cracker! and very useful little engine . Whatlep has done a very good review and this is what swayed it for me . Watch out LGB you ,ve got a serious competitor!

Still resisting the Piko BR80. Honestly, I should get one and sell my Harz 2-6-2T which is too big and too new for the rest of my railway.

There is an eBay seller that has many of the Delton parts for sale, as they have many of the parts dating back to the Phil Jensen days reportedly. You may be able to source the missing bits for your model from him.

More about the history your new toy:

And do realize, the C16 was close to some of the Baldwin "catalog" locos fo the time.

ENJOY!
