Lettering for buildings - or anything I suppose!

I bought a $2 set of stick-on letters from a craft shop. My normal cheat! I couldn't get black ones, so had to spray them...

BUT - this might be a tip....

When I peeled off the ones I wanted, I suddenly realised what was left! A STENCIL!

Bleeding obvious, really.

Peeling of the backing, when I need to next, I'll have "free" letters to just paint in.

OK, why didn't it occur to me before? No rude answers please....

I cannot reply, else you think I am rude...... ;D

If the words "thick as roo poo" came to mind, no worries!

I always try to find a cheap (ie free) aid to modelling.

Strangely, I went to our Red-Dot this morning. Bought 6 peg baskets. Girly say "why - whadja want them for?" Explained. She charged me for three! Good Sheila.

Have a good'un

Quite often the absolutely blindingly obvious solution that stares us in the face is someone else's neat idea. Model Railway Magazines are full of them, but passing them on is still a good idea. Nice post.

Glad it has occurred to you now, because now I don't have to have a flash of inspiration ;D
Inspiration being one of those things that strikes me at 3 a.m., to be forgotten by the time I get up :-[

Happens to me too... which is why I keep a notepad and pencil beside the bed! Seriously. Wake up, decipher the scribble if I can....then deide it was written by some other idiot :D

Allegedly, that was Churchill's trick in the war. make a note and its easier to go back to sleep.
