Looks fast don't it !

Ah yes, the leaves of Autumn. Aren't they so beautiful to see :) The colors are astounding ! We brush them away from our right of way, but the little bast**ds keep showing up.....:swear:.....We invent miniature machines to blow them away and pretend we're playing trains all the while. But the next day they're back, with their little crooked smiles waiting for their roller coaster ride again.

The shame of it all, in my case, is that the three large Pin Oak trees we once had are gone, but the neighbors oaks are still there.....:banghead:

Luckily I only have two culprits: a small lilac tree that is just starting to shed its leaves. The other, which still has very green leaves is a large magnolia tree. It is close to one of my boundaries on the eastern side of the back yard. As the prevailing winds - and they can be pretty fierce around 50 - 60 mph right now as storm Brian has arrived - is from the south west with some luck most of them will land next door or even further away. ;)

Since the Horse Chestnut that was at the Bottom of my Garden got chopped by the School who's land it was in I have few problems with Leaves on the line. Just a few from my own Shrubs that cause little problem. Joy.

I just run trains.

We have fall of course and the popcorn trees, dogwoods etc aren’t a problem as a quick blast with the leaf blower sends them away. However, the live oaks are a different issue. They drop twice a year in the fall AND in spring. The latter being heaviest. Their leaves are cunningly aerodynamically designed so that they blow away but then come spinning down to where you just blowed (blew? blewed?)them from! .....and then there’s the blessed acorns. Pinging down on your head and getting stuck in point blades, between sleepers, and the leaf sucker won’t suck them up. Argh! Isn’t nature wonderful?

That's 'cos you've chopped all your trees down :devil::devil:
That was only the shubbery - cue Python jokes.
Still have a lot of leaves all around the garden.

Yes, we used to have problems with beech nuts - they sit between the sleepers and trip the Bachmann buckeye couplers - fortunately we've moved and left the beech trees behind :cool::cool:
