i have to say-
when i saw 'Thomas' in the thread title-i had to look, and did so with curiosity, but also a raised eyebrow

your pics are truly delightful
and while i cant say for certain, it may be because of the integration of rather realisitic figures among the trains-which seems to create the 'collaboration' between men and the engines in the books.
i think the beautiful layout really provides a great display for the engines and puts them into context-(which is really what any great layout shoud do)

You have done a wonderful job!-it gives the impression of Sodor indeed-busy and purposeful railroading-not simply toyish characatures-
