Hi

I started transforming a Mallet Uintah LGB into a Mallet Sumpter Valley. I wonder which kind of paint I can use for the boiler, knowing I'm targeting this kind of result :

I already tried gun metal Humbrol, but it's not dark enough. Your advice will be welcomed.

Humbrol if hand painting can be mixed with and darker metalic humbrol colour or have you tried looking at a car paint in a spray can most accessoriy car shops will have a rack of different shades and the finish is much better than painting by hand
