Kiss- Build Quality?

I'm considering purchasing a Kiss steam outline loco.
In common with my other locos it wouldn't be a shelf queen.
I'm pleased that I didn't purchase one of the Brawa G scale Swiss 2-8-0s as they gained a reputation for being very fine models but with a tendency for the finer detail parts to become detached during running.
Kiss also appear to be very finely detailed, does anyone have experience of their robustness?

The few Kiss locos I am aware of are brass rather than plastic and look and run superbly. Whether bits fall off, I cant say.

I have one of their K36 and it runs superbly. It has a notched belt drive which might not take too much load and as I have a 1:10 incline, I tend to run her light or with only a caboose or with the 'help' of my 'secretly' motorised rolling stock..

Although the detail is superb it seems very well held on.
I can't say about what may happen in a shunt or in a derailment though!

I have three Kiss locos and several items of Kiss polling stock .The locos are of Brass construction and I have had no trouble wit any of them. The stock is made of plastic with brass wire handrails neither of which have proved to be very robust. Hope this helps if you want really tough Brass models try Dingler
