I saw a show of G scale railway over the weekend and was bowled over by the amazing array of styles, colours and types of rolling stock used. In addition to my boats, trucks and newly acquired launch, I am thinking of branching out into the G scale arm but want to go with on board power (if that's the correct term) as that's what I'm used to, and would probably like to stick with a Spektrum TX ( again that's what I'm used to) but I don't really know what to type in as a start, to look at the endless possibilities on the internet. I'm hoping I can get lots of information on here

Welcome to the forum, plenty of useful information to be had here, just feel free to ask! :)

I'm sure several of the "battery boys" on here will soon pop up to offer advice.

Welcome to the forum! We're all friendly here and any questions ask away,

My initial advice is choose train RC equipment carefully as trains should go the same speed forward and backwards, only RC vehicles don't!

(Yes I'm one of the battery and live steam boys for my sins)
