Is it a conversion job or LGB?

LGB21330 - so it looks like a conversion - interesting though.

Well it does say "kit built". Quite interesting I suppose. Hydraulic arm from a toy digger or something perhaps?

Kind of resembles one of these:

Definitely a conversion, Schoema diesel cab (and probably chassis), open truck body and crane either from a plastic toy or scratchbuilt. There are probably loads of prototype variants all over the world.
Might be worth a punt, seems quite nicely done, though the starting price is perhaps a little high..... but then again all the work is done except maybe a bit of tidying here and there.

There are any number of conversions out there....

Oh I do like that?

I've done a conversion job on one of my own Matra cranes myself, by swapping its 2 axle chassis for a 4 axle one.

But it's not as good as that one?

I believe it is owned by a certain Mr Duffy of this parish....

Hey Gizzy,

I think the conversion isn´t bad but 180,00 GBP is to much.
I would consider this as a base for conversion:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/112225803751?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&fromMakeTrack=true

Or do it this way: old LGB waggon & old Stainz chassis and you`ll get this:

I know it isn´t RhB
but the one at ebay has to have this style to be authetic:

Kind regards

Linky points to some Playmobil items Soeren, but it does include the yellow Maintenance vehicle....

While the original link to the object on sale says 'kit built' rather than bashed I might think they are telling the truth, it does look a quality item unlike some on JeezBay.
Incidentally while some above have posted pictures of RaddishBahn with relatively long cabs I know that that the CFL have some shorties that look really close to the model proposed. Camera out time, I suppose. (After all it is only -2°C in the afternoon. For half an hour.)

Nice - this is the type that the Harz has a couple of, I believe - there are one or two quite expensive German resin kits of the actual vehicle in G scale, but I've always thought it would be a relatively simple thing to scratchbuild along the lines of the one in the photo, though probably better done on a longer power block like the one used under the RhB Tm2/2 tractors or the newer KoF......

Ok, now you have really piqued my interest..
Do you have link to said kits please?

I think it's the bodies of the Matra crane wagon and the yellow 0-4-0 freelance shunter. The shunter looks to have had the cab and bonnet split and placed either end of the the crane then all on a diesel twin bogie chassis. Looks great but what would you do with it unless you pulled a couple of ballast wagons and bogie flats loaded with track.

Hey Gizzy,

the yellow maintenance vehicle is the one I had in mind !!!!!

The yellow SKL in my post isn´t made of a kit it´s completely scratch build ;)

Kind regards
Soeren

To me it begs for animation. Some miniature gear motors, R/C equipment and voila, another operating piece of rolling stock !

I made this a few years ago, but sold it in an ill advised foray into Lionel O gauge last Spring.

Then just as a reminder there was my Battery Powered Dickie LGB lash up.

Funny how things change, since that Pic I have fitted rudimentary Couplings to the beast.
