Is Brandbright experiencing any difficulties ?

I placed an order 3 weeks ago and have not received any reply confirming my order has been processed or sent. I contacted them 7 days ago to chase this order and have received no reply to date - I have checked my SPAM folder just in case. A previous recent order was delayed and when I called them to expedite the reason for lack of dispatch or contact was given they were snowed under with "cutting work" and only assigned one day a week to processing/dispatching orders picked from stock. I checked their "latest news" link to see if there had been issues that might adversely affect the normal conduct of business but all I got was their Error 404 page.

I know these are difficult time but I have not experienced this level of lack of communication with any other supplier in this hobby sector during this trying time. Max

I believe the new owner of Brandbright is a one man band these days.

Flu restrictions might prevent him from going to work....

It was only ever a one man band in its previous existence - but had amassed quite a lot of stock.

Your post reminds me -I placed an order in June and got a confirmation, but the goods didn't arrive; and having checked, it doesn't look like any payment was taken. I can't remember now if I followed it up with them.

I believe there were reports of a problem with the laser cutter, and parts were having to come from abroad?

This does not excuse a lack of communication, but I am aware that all of us 'one-man-bands' could be better at that. :(

I certainly hope there isn't too much of a problem with Brandbright, I had a chat with the new owner at an exhibition last year, and was full of ideas

My understanding is that the current owner worked for Richard, the previous owner, before he passed away....

Still no reply. I tried to call 9.30 this morning and there was no answer on the Brandbright business telephone line listed on the website. Nor was a facility to leave a voicemail active. Yesterday I sent a 3rd e-mail to their "info@" address, which is the mailbox that is used for order confirmation, cancelling the order and asking that any payment source data is deleted. That was then copied this morning to the alternate website nominated contact email address, "steam@", just in case the "info@" mail box is not functioning as it should. I have checked the spam folder at my ISP operated mailbox, nothing there listed in the past month from Brandbright.

I noted that on a Google search the business would normally be open at the time I tried to make telephone contact. I appreciate those times of business can vary. I trust nothing serious has befallen the proprietor. Brandbright does not appear to have a presence on Facebook, so no opportunity to contact via that social media or its "Messenger" app. Max

Seems I have just received a reply from an Andrew Bell within 30 mins of my last posted email - "I have been waiting on the black cable that makes up the RSA128, I now have it in stock." I ordered 7 of RSA128, £88 for what it is worth. No explanation though of the lack of communication now and with a previous order. Max

Mmmmm - effective communication - it's no surprise that there are a number of business trainers who run courses on the subject.

Ok so I ordered some couplings on the 31st Dec 2020 that were no stock listed. Order confirmed same day (Webb reply) advised en route yesterday and recieved this morning 19 Jan 2021. I reckon that is pretty good service for an out of stock item. 1 set for the red loco and another for when I next need one.
