I want a LGB 2095 diesel...

Here are my two and no James you can't have them. The Red and Creme one is a LGB Ref 2095 which has had a Massoth Sound Decoder added. The Blue one is a LGB Ref 2095N which has been converted to Battery Operation using Aristo 2.4 Train Engineer with a Brian Jones Sound Card for a Class 37 installed (don't ask why). I like the ability to put the battery one on the track and just run with no Rail Cleaning. Shunting is a dream with super crawl an every day reality with this set up. It has had Vids posted on this forum.

I gather that someone has done a deal for you to get a 2095, good luck on that and Happy Birthday. These are great locomotives.

Have you considered installing a Massoth pulse smoke unit ?
Young Phil is persuading me....could look very very good.

happy birthday James!!
no doubt youll post pics when you get it
i too have always liked the locos but loathed the old analog sound versions-not the livery

Best runner, just put it on the track with a few waggons, goes all day

Nice locos -
Thats what I love with G. Been running the Rugens today whilst I was tiling the dormer cheeks.(as you do!). Ran all day, with 4 coaches, without a single problem. Just had to top up the smoke a couple of times.

I agree with Phil - the 2095's are the best runners and will pull the side of your shed down. I've had just about all versions LGB have made since getting my first one in Beatties at Lewisham in 1978. Today I only have the three repainted in the livery of my line (alright, lines pushing it a bit - more like circuit of track). One of the three has had the waist rail trim sanded off which makes a significant difference to it's looks. I'll try and upload some pictures soon.

I had the analog sound version years ago. When I got it, I thought that something was wrong with the sound. I think it was Tim Brien that answered my query as to the sound of the sound, so to speak. Apparently, the prototypes sound like large Mo-peds. And so the reason for the type of sound LGB used.
