Well the " Road Kill Diner' was installed on the Saturday and everything was fine in Point Rock, the locals being pleased to have an eatery on their doorstep. Also the local 'girls' were thankful for a new place to successfully ply their 'trade'.
Sunday arrived and everything was set for a sunny open day.
Buildings were rid of cobwebs, leaves and other detritus, new vehicles were placed, new peoplefolk were in position alongside those left out all year and locos with their consists were plying the rails...but something was not alright at all.......
Something was occurring at Point Rock
A police car appeared behind the station, there seemed to be a bit of panic on some folks faces. The coroner had already turned up and was closing the tailgate on a grizzly sight.
The owner of the 'Road Kill Diner' was nowhere to be found.....
But all of this palaver, of course, did not deter the local 'girls' from carrying on doing a bit of commerce...
But the rest of the world carried on oblivious to this little tragic event
The steers had to be loaded
The motor truck had to negotiate a narrow steet
