Help needed,LGB 2 4 0,,,No lights

I`m foxed,anybody out there got any ideas?I haven`t run this little loco for a couple of months or so,put it away in the box last time it was used and was working fine.The little beastie came out to run a few days ago and NO lights,had the thing apart,appears bulbs ok,cant see any wiring faults,only thing i can think of is the board maybe suspect,traction power,sound ,smoke all working ok,anyone had this problem or heard of a fix,have i missed something??any help accepted,thanks in advance Rio.

seeing as uve checked the bulbs, have u checked the isolation switch in the cab?

I believe that the multi care cable that links engine and tender can develop faults and cause problems.


I know this stops the sound working, however I don't know if it affects the lights

Thanks for reply Dan,but the connection cable is a replacement,one reason the loco was not used for some time until I had one

If a replacement.. Are you SURE the new one has the same number of connections as the old? - Just another idea..

Yes Phil,exactly the same,I am taking it apart again tomorrow,checking the switch Mike mentioned above but thinking it`s the board thats the problem,thanks for the thought anyway
