to run my nw-2 X 2 bogies motors.
wot types? wot volts? wot amp? cheers

oh i didnt know ross.....so nimh are goods? any link to ebay for say 8 to 9 volts with 1500 something like tht?

I still use and recommend Sub C NiCd batteries where possible.
They have twice the recharge capability (Sanyo claim 1000 -v- 500) when compared to NiMh and do not self discharge anywhere near as quickly as NiMh.
Yes they can develop the dreaded memory effect if incorrectly charged, but, that can be broken quite easily and then a NiCd pack can be rejuvenated.
Be careful using AA rechargeables for any serious load. The LSD AA cells such as ENELOOP are much better than straight NiMh cells, but, even so, if you charge - discharge at more than 1 amp with them, you WILL shorten their life in terms of the number of recharges they can achieve.
Buy yourself a good quality smart charger to look after the cells properly.
