Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking for a few weeks reading threads. I have come back into the hobby after the recent visit of my nephew for whom I pulled out my LGB starter set plus track and electric switches that I painstakingly acquired with allowance money in my middle school years. A permanent garden installation is not in the cards for a while and really, I'm more of a tinkerer, so I expect mostly to lay temporary track around the basement and occasionally outside. I'm very interested in automating/controls of various layouts like using signal blocks to run multiple trains, etc. I'll probably be asking a lot of questions once I have even the foggiest idea of all the things that have changed since the 90s!
Cheers,
Vince

Vince welcome to the forum, lots of experience here, and lots of advice to be had, beware of the bad jokes, but keep us sweet we photos, we love photos :)

Welcome to the Forum, Vince!
Young people, in the Family, are a great incentive to 'play trains'!

Enjoy it! They grow up, way too fast.

Welcome aboard. For automation the EPL system can't be beat. That's my opinion. I like old school electricity, so am not involved in DCC or whatever else it's known as. If you have a copy of "THE WORLD OF LGB" it's like the bible for LGB trains.

Welcome, you will find that, yes, things have changed since the 90's! Theres plenty of automatic systems out there now, and a lot of folk on here are using them

Where would one procure a copy of said bible?
