Just thought i would share a few pics of the day with you all

Re:Great Day Running Trains

Hi Richie
That layout wouldn't belong to a certain Dave would it? I have been talking with him about his 'Zephyr' string and the similar problems to mine that he also has with break-aways of the streamliner observation car on his inclines and his need to keep the maximum streamline car number to about 6.
Good to see the layout itself...very nice indeed. We should form a UK Rio Grande club for anyone who has the fallen flag as their theme! Perhaps there is one already??
It was also good to see your plow on its travels. It certainly has some miles under its belt and it isn't even winter yet....??snow was predicted for Scotland for this week??

Hi Mike
Yep your right it would be a certain Dave's railway , was lucky again with the weather seems to be every time i bring out my snow plow the sun shines  Day didn't start to well as the 7 coach Zephyr kept coming off the rails on tight curves so the train became a 5 coach Zephyr found the problem to be the weight of the train . Coaches are now on E bay if your interested . All Dave's loco's are radio controlled so we found the K-27 wouldn't pull much as the tender weighed a ton with all the batteries the new AMS coach looks very nice would love one of them some day  Would be great if there was a Rio Grande club will have to ask Steve if he know's of one when i see him next .

Cheers Richie

Great layout and photos.
Would love to have been there!

There's a thread on MyLargeScale about http://www.mylargescale.com/Community/Forums/tabid/56/aff/5/aft/116988/afv/topic/Default#176349 < Link To typical NG D&RG freight consists.

I'd like to join the D&RG subgroup, please.

Nice string of cars there Hamish.
Consider yourself part of the unofficial Rio Grand subsection of the splinter group of the ...............

A view of one of my admittedly shorter rakes....

Thanks!
And thanks for showing me yours, I'm told that length is not important at all.
However, ours pale into insignificance when compared with Richie's post #3 last photo.

Definitely covet Nico's passenger cars as well.

Hamish.
