Ah, well, 'Normal for Norfolk' was a medical term which inspired both a book, and an unrelated TV series.

As far as I know, the GP who coined the phrase has not received any royalties from either the book or the TV series


But, living in Norfolk, it's easier to be normal

May years ago, it was revealed that a doctor had written in his patient's notes NFN. When asked what that meant, he replied 'Normal for Norfolk'.

When this appeared in a national paper, most of the country was in some state of uproar, except the residents of Norfolk

That's why it's one of the best places to live - we can take a joke, and carry on as normal
