....with this purchase. The return set is on order too so there will be an over and back crossover. As many of you know I have two large (ish) loops that have been totally independent for TOO long, owing to me spending tight funds on locos I don't need instead of finishing the railway!!! In the end i decided to go for it and get large rad points as the rest of the railway was built that way....

Look like LGB R5 to me

Nice one Ian  By the way where did you get your LGB R5 points from as i'm thinking of getting a pair later for my passing loop but first need to get planning .

I got them from GRS richie. I nearly went for grs own as they look lovely but in the end i decided to stick witn what i already have.

Steve it means a siding that has a point at the other end to take it back to the mainline....A sort of "layby" so another train can get past

Tony

Actually when we are running two or three trains on each loop as we do at get togethers getting from the sidings across to the inner loop will take some attention. Might be fun to come up with a rudimentary signaling type system for opendays?! Or we can just gamble?!

You missed my point (pun!). I love them.
Lerge radius rule OK1.

Cheers for that Ian do like those GRS points Tony posted some pic's of his look very nice for the money .

Stockers sorry missed the sense yes i agree they just look right!

Richie the only trouble is the large rad grs are for sale at £152 new so r5 is about 33% less. But man they are beautifully made. As i am going to use the manual sprung control they are inc in the lgb pack on the grs one you need to buy the switching gear in addition which x4 would be more £. Already pushing it going for the r5s to be honest!!

Heres my passing loop at the moment Steven but hope to use larger points as my 1:20.3 stock find the R3 points a bit tight
