Obscure? Of course. Years ago ITTP sold these in the UK via Bromsgrove Modelshop or some such. Its a twin Lister "plunk plunk" engine sound. According to ITTP they no longer export them to a country that messes them about with customs charges or VAT. Thats us (UK) then. I just wondered if anyone had one anywhere or knew of any shop still with one for sale. TIA!

That's just about every developed economy in the world now - the UK was following an international trend to make the seller the (unpaid) duty collector which means that governments no longer spend money collecting duty, the sellers do that and recoup their costs from the punters. It partly explains why international shipping has increased dramatically in the last few years. It wasn't just the UK

Most businesses have got their act together, and worked out how to get the necessary paperwork done by the shipping companies - it seems that there are still a few ostriches
