I want to try to be there if I possibly can.... the only problem is that I'm off on a five-day trip to the Harz the very next day! Will have to see how things work out.....

Jon.

I don't need GPS to tell me it is too far away, but I wish the event and organisers every success.

I would love to visit the UK one day, but Ill just have to hold out for some you tube or G Scale Central news and pictures of the event afterwards. Australia IS on the other side of the planet. A visiting UK stand-up comic at the Melbourne Comedy Festival made this interesting statement recently: If I have to live in a racist country, then maybe moving to Australia post Brexit wouldn't be too bad. At least I'd have racism with the sunshine!

Unfortunately we'll miss it this year as I will not be in the UK. I also fear that we may not be going in the future either, as I see that a move to Peterborough is being considered, which is a good 5 hours away unlike Stafford which we can do in under 3 hours. When I was working at East Mids Airport and had the flat in Sawley, Devon Belle used to come for the w/e and all the Midlands area shows were in range; now that I've 'retired' and living back in the SW, Exeter is the only 'local' show. Anyway, to those of you that do go, have a good time and perhaps ask the committee during the AGM (if you are a member) whether a move to Peterborough will generate significant savings bearing in mind that the location will inevitably mean that some people may have much further to travel and may be put off.

Peterborough - Where did you get that idea?

A return to Nottingham was mentioned but Peterborough is a new one on me. Not sure it would be a good idea to use the same venue as the 16mm guys - recipe for confusion.

Does anyone make a dual-gauge axle?? - One with three wheels, already set-up??
;):confused:o_Oo_O:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Had a look on the website and I cant find what I thought I saw there, so it may have been something I read in the Journal, which is, of course, several hundred miles from where I am at present. I'll have a look when I get back.

I believe in the past a proposal was put forward that GSS combine their annual show with the 16mm Scale Association. This may be what you are referring to. As far as I am aware the proposal was not progressed.
