Time to do final testing of three home-made points.
The two on the left form a crossover to the start of the new double-track.
The right-hand one leads to an unfinished passing loop.
The video shows two Aristocraft 12-wheel heavyweight cars being reversed through all three of them - successfully much to my relief!
I chose these Aristo cars because they have a reputation for being very unforgiving of even slightly irregular track.

One rather simple video -

Very nice Hamish.

Very smooth nice points Hamish:clap:

Thanks for all the kind comments!
The only reasons I made them myself were -
[*]Something to do during the dark evenings[*]Keep me off the streets[*]Low availability and high price of large radius code 250 points[*]Material cost of about £25 per set

Hi Hamish , very nice track work , have you looked at any on the curve - also did you draw your own or use a plan ?? regards Dave

We are not envious....

At all :-

Such skills elude some of us

hi i am ////

Dave,

The design is based on a pair of secondhand Marcway points I bought last year.
My only change is to make them slightly longer by using uncut 3' Peco rail as the stock rails.
Yes, the next set I make will be curved, although the mainline only slightly.

now that really is clever!!
