Free to anyone who wants them, a pair of Accucraft couplers. I've never seen the like before but I assume someone must use them. They're like a combined buffer and hook and loop and they swivel on their mountings. Can't say if they work or not but they seem to be in working order. Picture below. The one of the small pairs of nuts and bolts sheared off when I was removing them. I can't bear to throw such things away.

Standard Accucraft round face chopper couplers - one is missing its chopper and both do not have (had them cut off ?) the hook for a chain, where the vertical pivot is. Max

Okay thanks Max. By the sound of it they are pretty useless then. I'll hang on to them for a few weeks then bin.

Common practice, among users, to remove every other chopper in a rake - easier to de-couple consists. Probably how they got that way. The hook thing on the pivot for a chain is redundant if using the choppers, done that mod' with my WHR saloons as they would foul the footplates otherwise. So, all in all, still very useful items, not for the bin :) Max.

I'll have them if no-one else does Dave - might come in useful at some point. What are you short of for your baggage car refurbishment? I've got a box full of bits I've accumulated over the years so may be able to help you out in return.
Mike.

Thanks Mike. I'll post them to you. Usual address?
In return if you have 2 x part 22 in the diagram below (wheel holders) that would be good, no trouble if not. I think they are pretty universal for the long wheelbase 2 axle vehicles.

Hi Dave. Pretty sure I've got some - might take a few days to locate. Is there a part number on them? I think there may be more than one type. I'll get back to you. You also mentioned the previous owner had cut off the centre buffer mounts. If you wanted to re-use the original chassis instead of replacing it I may be able to source replacements.
