If you need more magnets to activate your reed switches then Harbor Freight has them. They come as a free coupon magnet tool holder. Cash in a 20% percent coupon and also the free coupon for a tool holder. I cut the magnets with a diamond cutting wheel on my Dremel tool. Then I grind them smooth with a Dremel grinding wheel.
The diamond wheel, grinding wheel are all complements of Harbor Freight. With one free tool holder I can get over two dozen magnets. They fit snugly between LGB ties. The left over channel iron has a multitude of uses. The magnets are glued into the channel iron. FYI
