So sorry to hear that. May we refund you 5usd as compensation and you make it repaired? And after refund, please kindly revise the feedback to positive one? Hope you can understand. Many thanks!

I bought a solar pump kit from these people, I'm going to build a Victorian fountain for the tramway and thought this may just do the pumping.... Anyway it arrived in bubble wrap and had been trodden on at some stage and was smashed so I complained but got no response, after making a paypal claim I eventually got a refund but I left negative feed back explaining that even though I had received a refund it was only after escalating to a claim that anything happened....
My response was; "Sorry I wont take your bribe, that would make me a hypocrite"
Lets see if they up the anti.... Everyone has their price.....

I don't believe feedback can be revised, once it has been left.

I noticed a news(?) item on the BBC this morning. Apparently, Hotellier's are starting to add to their 'Terms and Conditions' - a rider which states that should the customer leave negative feedback, the Hotel wll fine them a £100!

They do this because the prospective customer has to agree to the Hotel's T & C - then they (Hotellier) use the client's card details!

The reason for this (so it was stated) is try and counteract negative comments on the likes of 'Trip advisor' and other feedback sites.

It's a big business in Australia of "paying for rave reviews" particularly caravan parks and hotels.... I note with interest that even hookers are into this offering discounts for favorable "reviews" on certain websites and the Australian Sex Party is in a quandary when they were confronted with the news particularly as the case mentioned was in South Australia where that sort of activity is illegal. ....

NO.....One hotelier did it...and I don't think he will be doing it much longer.....However...guess we will all have to learn to read the small print.....just in case. ::)

and it does not get good reviews...in fact there are three on TRIP ADVISOR that really show the place for what it is.........

I s'pose if they are going to stoop so low as to try and pull that illegal trick, they are not going to respond to any criticism and it's pretty likely that the place is a dump (c/f Alex Polizzi's programmes)

However, Tripadvisor is a bit of a blunt instrument, and what one person finds poor, and then complains vociferously about, another person may consider to be bearable for the money.

Yep its permanant, and Ebay actively tries to discourage leaving it. I only use it as a last options after trying to fix whatever the issue might be. When I have trouble I simply do not leave feedback until the issue is resolved, if there was a problem with the seller that was beyond their reasonable control, I often will still give positive feedback IF they have demonstrated a reasonable attempt to fix the problem. Sometimes I will simply leave NO feedback at all if I wasn't too happy with the service but they did eventually deliver the item (read slooooooooooow service).

To date I think I have only left 1 negative feedback in recent years, and that was just because the seller acted like a real asshat. I was the only low bidder on a large item that offered free shipping, much lower than I expect the seller was hoping to pocket once the free shipping was factored in, but after paying they then went into a song and dance about problems with paypal and the post office, he simply didn't want to honor his sale if he wasn't going to pocket X much, this went on for months before Ebay finally brokered to simply cancel the whole thing, frankly by then I was just glad to be done with the immature little jackwagon.

Isn't that extortion ? Certainly fits the definition I've just read ,I would report this to the Police , tell trip advisor and take legal action against the hotel. I believe we also have the right of free speech.......t**ts!
Edit : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extortion see paragragh 2
