Had a very enjoyable afternoon at Kevin`s (`cheeseminer`) open day yesterday. This will be the last open day at this location as the house has been sold. There was a good turnout with great hospitality.

The pictures should tell the story.

Sam`s Guiness train

Graham`s railcar

Sam`s Atlantic with cattle train - complete with mooing sounds

IMGP0041-(1024x520).jpg
Another one of Sam`s fleet. This attractive loco was an early Roundhouse/GRS collaboration of which only 3 were built.

The cattle train again

IMGP0043-(1024x526).jpg
My `soul train` proved a popular attraction, especially with the many young children present

IMGP0044-(1024x576).jpg
Laurie`s Regner Challoner

IMGP0045-(1024x510).jpg
Graham`s Caradoc

IMGP0046-(1024x576).jpg
Another view of Graham`s nicely detailed and weathered Caradoc

IMGP0047-(1024x576).jpg
George`s Darjeeling ran very smoothly

A few more pics to follow.....

Looks like a lovely line, and a great day out! :)

Hopefully to be rebuilt in new location after the move?

Jon.

A double header storms along the back of the line

That double header again

IMGP0053-(1024x576).jpg
More Guiness

IMGP0054-(1024x576).jpg
The soul train still pounding out the rhythms

IMGP0056-(1024x559).jpg
Very nice indeed

IMGP0058-(1024x576).jpg
For those that like yellow

Countess under scrutiny

IMGP0060-(1024x576).jpg
Laurie`s Saxonian ran very well

IMGP0061-(1024x576).jpg
A whole lot of Accucraft happening here

Now that is what you call a proper garden shed! The railway is located further down the garden.

Fortunately the railway will not be dismantled as the purchasers of the property want to keep it. They currently live just across the road and were at the open day with their two young sons so they know what they are getting! Kevin is also leaving them a loco and some stock to get them started.

I`ve just realised that some of the captions don`t match the photos I posted - reason being that I left one photo out! So, for reasons of completeness I attach the photo that should have been captioned `very nice`

Super pictures thanks for sharing them ;D

What a fantastic day. Almost makes me wish I could move back to GB :-\

Kevin and his wife are moving to an extensive property in Malvern Wells, at the foot of the Malvern Hills, which they will be running as a B&B. A new garden railway is planned for an area which was once a tennis court. So if you want a holiday involving hill walking and garden railways it will be a good option!

Excellent photos of a really nice garden layout. Could die for that shed, how nice is that!
What a great idea...B&B with added trains......

8) SOLD, one garden railway. Comes with free dwelling and out buildings. ;D

You sometimes see properties offered for sale in the likes of Railway Modeller with exactly that sort of thing - extensive layout for sale, includes bungalow or whatever.... ;)

Jon.

Like it!

Especially the shed. Looks about the same size as my garage!
