Been thinking of a new project, A fire fighting train for the Little stainz Railway.

Anyone got any links to historical photos of protypes.

Will be hauled by a stainz, Going to have new build plates made for it, as a new build loco, in the style of the kraus plates the fleet has.

This fire fighting wagon (or rather the remains of it - presumably held for "preservation") was at Liniers Works in Buenos Aires 7 years ago.  It was obviously shunted to the area of any fire within the works by one of the works shunters in the days when it was in use.

You can at least see the remains of the pumping engine on the flatbed of the vehicle and can possibly guess what else should have been on it in the past.

All you need is a Lowmac for starters...........(assuming the photo appears below..)

No links, but I'll do a bit of searching for you. A firefighting train would have a water tanker, a closed van for equipment, a coach of some sort for the fire crew and maybe a low sided wagon for equipment too. Any fires would often have been grass or similar fires, so tools carried would include beaters, spades, trenching tools, axes and suchlike.

I've got that set and the other "action" set, plus a couple of standing, painted figures surplus to requirements.
