Finally a break in the weather

Shawn

Hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing
Today made the 11th day in a row of rain. By afternoon the sun came out and dried up the line finally. The crew got a chance to take out the Rogers that has been sitting in the shops for the last year. They added a coal bunker to the back and fixed the front springs. It ran great on the line. The crew got the new 2-6-0 Indie out with some flats.

The guys found a reliable spring coming out of the ledges above camp. They put in a new water tower for the engines and for around camp.

Some superb views - and that greenery - looking perfect!

Great atmosphere, Shawn. Mother Nature's certainly perked up your scenery during the last 10 days. Like the Rogers - just wish I had the length of track to run something similar.

Giles the Rogers is not much bigger then a porter if you add a coal bunker to the back. Its a neat engine. Ill try to post a picture of the rogers next to a saddletank porter.
