Fighting my way into a lamp

This is just evidence of creeping senility - I've forgotten the make of this lamp, and more importantly, how to get into it to find out why the LED bulb replacement I put in many years ago isn't working. Originally black and made of metal, I seem to have painted it blue at some stage, thereby making it harder to see where it comes apart.

It's not LGB, not Busch, and I thought maybe Brawa, but cant't even find it on the internet. If anyone can advise me how to open it, I'd be jolly grateful and there's even a bonus point if you can identify the brand!

I think the base is clipped on.
Ah yes, I'd forgotten that bit, thanks. I'll have to see if that helps me get back into the lantern head. Maybe it all pushes up or down, with the base off.

Odd thing is, one of my lump hammers has gone walkies, so I may have to revert to smaller tools.

Update: taking the base off allowed me to check the polarity, and thus rule out a wiring problem. The tip of an old Stanley blade proved more effective than a hammer, and I carefully prized off the top cover and re-screwed the LED bulb tighter and woohoo - the high street will gain another lamp standard after all! Still no wiser on the make, though.

Just a note to close the thread for posterity. I found the instructions today (in the useful drawer where I keep instructions, of all places!) This style of lamp is made by Viessman, hence the quality, though I've not seen them on sale for many a moon.
