Bad news for my wallet, I have today discovered the field railway / feldbahn range of stock.
My first thought was look the other way quick, but it's too late.

I don't suppose anyone has any of the feldbahn/field railway rolling stock they'd like to part with, thanks?

I have some of these:

and some just the basic flat bed which would be a good basis for some customs.

I have a couple of LGB Toytrain feld bahn wagons that I'd be willing to part with.

They were yellow, but I've painted them a more realistic brown. I'll take some photos and post them later....

Garden Railway Specialist had some 2 nd hand LGB small tipper. Perhaps not field Railway but may do a turn?

If going for tippers?

He Binnie offerings, are a lot cheaper than LGB..

You cannot possibly have a garden railway without a couple of Binnie Wagons, it'll be like fish without the chips

The tipplers also scrub up well in the larger scale, too. I biffed the (too) big plastic wheels, and put in Bachmann small wheels. Also replaced the couplers with LGB Link and Pin. Now got a rake of 6 of these. I rattle canned the stock with red oxide when they were in bits, and then gave them a mist of matt black.

That Feldbahn stuff can become addictive... even passes for Seven Eighths scale if you do it right (or wrong, even).
It's both the big and smaller than normal LGB stock that was the appeal, and the field railway coaches fit in with the grizzly flats coaches.

A bit more web surfing and I found the Bachmann lil haulers with small bogies, which I'd like to get hold of a of, they we're diamond framed, but I could live with that for now.

This truly is a dangerous financial hobby to search out information for.

Warning on the Lil Haulers... they have an odd coupler that I don't believe you can just swap out. Surgery required
Why Bachmann would choose to use a different coupling doesn't really make sense :mm:, fortunately I replace all the couplings for a bell mouth type, so the Lil Haulers one would get removed anyhow, thanks for the heads up though.
