Expanding My Collection

I'm New, Please Be Gentle
I know I keep banging on about these Aristocrat Class 66 loos, but I just love them. I have now expanded my collection from 1 to 5, each a different livery. My question is, how many different liveries did they do?

I have just bought one I never new existed, and found a picture of of a COLAS version on Google that I hadn't seen before. Does anyone have a complete list?

I have seen:

Freightliner No.66610
Freightliner No. 66529
EWS No.66068
EWS No.66135
Colas
Schenkers
HGK
DRS
Malcolm Logistic
GBRf (small union jack flag)
GBRf (large union jack flag)
Undecorated

Their may well be others

The 66 was a great model, maybe Aristo's best diesel.
The reason for its higher detail than most of the US outline jobbies was that it had British input at the design stage (Bachmann guys I think).

Although my layout is USA, I always regarded the Aristo 66 as a beautifully executed model and so..... I got one (and eventually, by accident, two, EWS, with different numbers).
One of which has been weathered and has an ESU DCC sound decoder especially programmed by South West Digital.
The sounds are spot on and the start-up sequence and subsequent motion are all timed as would be for the prototype.

I have since sold the second non-weathered and non-sound EWS as I only tend to run the 66 with a string of container cars and hoppers infrequently, so it seemed greedy to have the second!

Well..

Unfortunately, not mine.. - I had TEN to fit decoders and Phoenix sound cards in for a Client.
I believe he has since gone battery r/c on them, bought more, and had some painted in different liveries..

I would love one (some!), but will have to wait a few years, I fear..
Even one on evilBay the other bay which had been 'got at' went for over £400.:(:cry:

A fine power house collection....... the owner was obviously on his 'route 66'............. hat coat, door......

That could well have been me, I have shelled out a lot on these models over the past week. But 4 trains later I still think it is well spent.

I have seen this picture many times now, I will get them all eventually!

Currently have:
Freightliner
GBRf w/ Small Union Flag
EWS
Malcolm
DRS

I *might* be visiting the line they are on in the near future.. A Massoth CS and three Nav's looking for a new home!

I will try to get some pictures..
Now, if I can work-out if it is possible to load a video directly to the Forum.. Class 37 anyone?

I have seen/heard these before on YouTube and such, I will be getting those next. Just need to get around to finishing my DCC system first.

I have just one example...
A 23211x.jpg

It sits on a shelf all alone as it is the only item in my collection in that scale.
(also, I can't get the wretched thing to run! - anyone near Cardiff think they can help, pleeease?)

I saw it in Andrew's shop (GRC) and as my son drives for Freightliner, I sent him a text asking if 529 was one in his area.
About 10 mins later, I received a picture message apologising for the delay but he had had to get down from his loco as (unusually) there was no running number in the cab. This was the loco he was driving that day, at Killoch colliery:

So, it just had to be bought if only to remember the remarkable coincidence.

Make sure it's got the power supply switch set to track , and you need a decent controller as it is a power hungry beastie

Hm another week another 66 Livery. One was this week repainted in BR Green and named Evening Star and presented next to 92220 at the NRM York as it was (due to EEC Regulations) the last 66 to be imported to UK and probably the EEC as well.

Personally I think they are a really decent model , and I will be on the lookout for more for my collection, along with a few more people lol
I have the two Gbrf ones 66701,66705, the freighliner early one and the EWS 66135 , just bought another EWS 66135 and that is being repainted in the Colas livery 66849 Wylam Dilly , just tracking detail parts down including nameplates, front couplings , correct headlight surrounds
I will add pics as I receive them of its progress
