End of summer running

Shawn

Hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing
The days are becoming shorter and cooler as fall sets in on the Kittatinny Mountains . Another few weeks the leaves will changed and fall off the trees. The guys wiill be waking up to frosty mornings. The guys are getting some last running/work done before the winter logging season starts. Best time to log.

The guys are waiting for the next log car to load up.

Great pictures, when the loggers break camp do they take their huts with them?

Thanks guys. The camp buildings sit on log skids so they can be loaded on a flat and moved. The sawmill is a portable mill so that can also be taken down and moved. Here is a close up of the mill

Those 'morning sunlight' shots are wonderful - the quality of the light and the quality of the modelling really work together....

Very nice set of pictures. The sawmill looks like the (spells word with care) Frick sawmills I watched on Youtube. Is that what you modeled it on Shawn?

Thanks. The Frick sawmill was one of the ones that gave me the idea for a portable mill but the one I built was my own design. I just have to get a traction engine to power it now. If I can only get Mik from the AVR to send me one. LOL
