EJ&KLR visit to the HDLR...

Yesterday I spent a very enjoyable few hours with Bruce and Gillian on the HDLR. The 'excuse' was dropping off the round robin box car, but actually I'd wanted to visit and see his Austrian stock as it has been an inspiration for many months.

Anyway seeing the Regner 399 run was a hi-light for me, it is a beautiful model although it sounds like it has taken Bruce a lot of work to get it running as it does today. Also great to put my Frank S conversion next to Bruce's 798.03, and give it a decent run - a good length line.

The afternoon flew by with chat about the Steyrtalbahn and Austrian narrow gauge signalling - fuelled by a steady supply of coffee and cake! I hope to visit again in the future.

Here are the first of the photos...

its always a pleasure to see lady bs and brusce line!

It was great to visit and piece all the photos you see together into reality - and the fact it's a mix of ground level and raised running due to the gradients make it a lovely line to sit back and watch.
