Both Mark's Turrella Tramway and my Sandstone & Termite have recently acquired USA Trains F3 units.
Mark has painted his for Commonwealth Railways and mine retained the Great Northern livery it came with, with just a change of lettering.
Both are fitted with Hobbyking RC and Talking Electronics sound cards, with both sound units slightly varied to give different throb rates. I have added volume control so it is quieter when coasting or idling (eg video at 1min 20sec) and LOUD when powering. I also added inertia so the engine revs up before it begins to move (eg at 52 sec ).
We decided to do a double-head run on The Turrella Tramway today, and this is the short video. It was a warm day so the contents of a few brown bottles were needed to stop dehydration. We both had a fun day. This is what Garden Railroading is all about !
