Does anyone know how to connect 3 wire points to LGB 55025

Many thanks to those that answered, I tested your sugestion this morning and am pleased to say it worked pefectly.

You can change the 3 wire to 2 wire using 2 diodes 1 forward to the outer connector and the other diode to reverse on the other outer connector on the EPL switch drive, and the middle connector as common. Connect the loose end of the 2 diodes together.

Having been asked on another thread about CV settings for the LGB 55025 switch decoder, I thought it best to post my answer here in a new thread for easy reference:

The LGB55025 switch decoder allows you to control 4 seporate point motors using independant accessory addreses. It is possible to control up to 2 point motors off off a single output but i will come to that later.

In order to program the unit, the "Prog" terminals should be bridged, a load connected to the "A" terminals (a point motor is ideal) and the "In" termianls connected to a suitable device to perform the...

This is the schematic of the wiring you will need. It seems that the 55025 generates a pulse on the output, but you should double check that is actually the case.

You will need to experiment with which way around the wires connect to the old stylee LGB point motor to get the mechanical action (straight/curve) you require.

The diodes should be type 1N4001 or similar.
