Before Christmas, I had big ideas (along with Martin) for the Chasewater Christmas layout..
Martin had recently acquired the 'Firemen' train series from LGB, so we were going to base some of the layout on this. - We also came up with a fire engine to go on a truck. Added extra blue lights, it had sound, and a bubble-blowing 'feature' to keep the kids (big and small) amused.
I did not know that Pola had done a model, else I could have saved myself some grief.
Anyway, it turned out we were not allowed as much space for the Christmas layout, and so the 'derelict house' idea was shelved.
I had commissioned Charlie Foxtrot Models to enlarge one of his 'Wargame' models. This he did at no cost for the design work, combining two of his existing models. Scaling up meant adjusting for material thickness, and more detail had to be added. - As he said, what looks good at 1:76 is a little plain when scaled-up to 1:22.5!
A link to the model on his website:

Still trying to persuade him to scale-up his school / library building, as I reckon tis would make a cracking station. - There is a problem with the maximum size his present machine will cut.
I have now cleared a little space, and am determined to have a go at doing this justice.
