Thanks Phil. Yes, it was pretty crowded. The model railway 'village' was alone worth the journey (admittedly only 25 miles in my case!). Got onto a couple of footplates after queueing (Clan Line and Furness No. 20 both in steam).

Apparently, gates opened today at 0930 rather than at 1000. Huge crowds, but a massive site so no real pinch points.
Some locos rather hidden ( hymek )
Well worth going.
