DCC turn out decoder

Hello all

I have only just started trying to convert the layout to DCC controlled points and am having difficulty making it work.

I bought a 55025 decoder, and I am using a roco Z21 system. I have managed to change the address of the decoder but it only works some times, taking a couple attempts

I have tried a brand new point motor and soldering on straight on to the coil but to no avail.

I don’t know if it is something to do with CV9 as I don’t understand what it does. Could it be the Wong power supply? Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks
Thomas

Well, it might be the wrong power supply? - Tell us more, else we are guessing..
It could be something to do with CV9.. Guess what I am going to ask?

The more information you can give us, the more we can help.

The power supply is rated for 20 volts and 6 amps

And on the CV9 side of things, I’m unsure as the instructions for my model only make mention of using the LGB MZS system to program it, and looking at a newer set of instructions it makes mention of CV9 but I don’t understand it

I do have to admit I am new at DCC so I could be doing something very wrong

Cheers
