I am getting started with automation using feedback.
As I understand it, reed switches (magnets) can detect a loco moving over a point.
I also see that you can detect movement and occupancy by isolating sections of track and using a feedback module such as the Massoth DiMax 280R (817001)
I am using LGB MTS III overall.
If I have isolated a block of track, do I simple supply the same power to it from the central station that I am using to power the main loop of track?
On the MTS III, there is only a single power lead set. Do I connect that power to both sections. That seems counter-intuitive but I cannot think of anyway else to do it? Once connected, will the 280R then be able to detect occupation from either section?
