Correct signals on Garden Railway

I am still in the process of laying out my garden railway and would like to ask if anyone can help with the correct placement and number of Semaphore signals on the current track scheme.  I am planning to inter-lock the points with the signals controlled by a manual signal frame via rods and cables. I also have a number of WM Britains semaphore signals made for Bassett Lowke, two doubles and two singles.

You've made a very nice job of that lever frame kit Jeremy. Well done!
They're very good aren't they?
Steve

whats the general idea, how do you plan to run trains, keep left, bi-di? you don't appear to need any dollys, but maybe a calling on signal under a main semaphore for your bay platform. Could also have a limit of shunt on the main line for coming out of the bay platform, giving an excuse for a dolly perhaps on the southern departures from the station?

Thanks Duncan it is appreciated, I will try and digest this, it looks like a good plan, what are "Dollys"? Trains will run clockwise if this helps. Steve I must confess that is the picture from their web site I haven't built mine yet. Jeremy

if you look at the plan, the dollys aka shunt signals/disc shunts would be cleared in lieu of the main aspect, if the train movement was only authorised as far as the limit of shunt boards, not out onto the main line. the signalling diagram I have tried to do gives the flexibility of bi-di running, even if it will be rarely used. calling on signals (the smaller semaphores) would be cleared if the loco/train was to go onto an already occupied piece of line, either by wagons, coaches or another loco.

pics may help;
shunt dollys
and calling on signals under the main aspects
