Cornwall Model Boats
Cornwall Model Boats is the specialist online model boat supplier and importer. With over 22000 lines of stock.

Their 6V Graupner smoke units are excellent value.
Seuthe's name is on the paperwork that comes with them and they are a staight swap for LGB/Massoth units.

The Westbourne Model Co. is another similar supplier worthy of note.

Personally I would be wary of using Westbourne Models, if you look at the reviews there have been problems with them taking money and not supplying the goods, there was an article about them on BBC's moneybox programme.
They may have got their act together now, perhaps somebody has used them recently ?

I have used Cornwall model boats quite a few times and they have provided excellent service and can confirm that the seuthe units are as good as the LGB/Massoth units............:)

Cornwall Model Boats are very good :nod::nod:

One of their best lines is modelling timber cut to size :clap::clap:

I also ordered some plastic sections from them once, and misunderstood the website and over-ordered. They let me drop the surplus packs back in to them when we were down there on hols.

But beware - they do not have a shop, and do not normally welcome browsers; but they are really nice people and have an efficient mail order service :):):):):):):)

I have bought a few smoke units from these guys. At the time I bought them, they were the best price I could get them for.

Just to avoid confusion. This thread has discussed Cornwall Model Boats and Westbourne models - it would appear that opinion differs greatly between the two suppliers. Opinions stated are those of the poster and not necessarily representative of the forum owners and operators.
However, as suitable information has been given to substantiate such negative claims, they have been left on view.

You lot like giving us Mods something to do, don't you!

I bought some miniature turnbuckles from Cornwall Model Boats a few years back. These were to stress the cables on one of my bridges. These small (about one inch long) turnbuckles are very hard to find, but they had a range and were prepared to check the ring hole sizes for me, while I waited on the phone. They were very helpful, and as a result, I got just the items I needed.

Squires also do a nice small one, we used them extensively on the Ruschbahn Overhead for tesioning cross wires. See P352 link below.
