As it was mentioned a few days ago, here's a few pictures and description about modifying a lgb stainz chimney
For the this chimney it was a standard stainz chimney complete with smoke unit.
I cut everything down using a dremel multi tool, it would be easy to do with a razer or hack saw.
The first step is remove the grill and then smoke unit (keep or discard)
Then just careful cut around the chimney, you can then slide the two pieces apart
And you should be left with something like this
It's then a case of sanding and filling, and then finally painting until you have a suitable shape chimney.
This one needs some more work, but I ran out time and also can't find my tube of filler.
