Combining LGB/Aristocraft track with Peco

Has anyone successfully done this? I need to modify my track plan slightly however some lengths of Peco are all I have available at the moment. Obviously the difference in rail heights is but one potential problem. Hints and tips gratefully received!

I think you can get adapter joiners for this? Do be aware that Peco do a G45 track, which I think is code 250 (?) and will join to LGB and other code 332 rail using the said adapters, but the also do Gauge 1 45mm track which is much finer - code 200 I think - and I believe is NOT compatible with the code 332 types......

Track powered locos can have trouble of Peco G45 points, with the skates sometimes shorting on the Peco metal frogs, but they are generally OK on Peco G45 straights and curves. LGB and other G scale locos will not run well (or at all) on the Gauge 1 track, as their very deep flanges bottom-out on the rail chairs.

Yes I have done it using the Peco Adapters. I use them to make convinent Power Districts though they do have thin flat plate to carry juice. I would still prefer to Bond at Electrical Joints. SL 912 Dual Joiners.5B1F5648-3FE2-4957-9479-18E689357EF9.jpegThis is actually Peco to Aristo butbis exactly the same for LGB joints.

Thanks both for your most helpful replies. The track I have is G45, SL900 Flexi track, so provided I get some of these adaptor joiners I could well be in business. Thanks again!

Not pretty, but you can mangle normal rail joiners with a pair of pliers to fit both rails.

The Peco joggle plates work well but the metal insert to carry power is totally useless - use a jumper wire instead.
