Coaling Station (Plasticville-BachmannG) Scale question

I agree they are more than a tad small for G scale but - I have one on my trailer layout - seemed an easy structure to make up.
Keeping it in one piece is another thing! I have blocks of wood inside to screw to. Heaven knows what type of plastic it is - or what solvent/glue it requires
