it being a good year for revenue and increased excursion traffic
the Board authorized funds for 2 new pieces of equipment,
a caboose and a covered excursion car to double as a track inspection car.
The Board arrived at No Agua station and awaited the yard switcher to bring the new equipment for inspection
various locals and staff were in attendance.
A rare glimpse of warehousman Carloz's famous roof garden was also caught by the railroad photographer.
Those pictures follow for your edification and consideration of upcoming bond offerings.

The Board, in no mood to be kept waiting in the unseasonally warm afternoon:

At last, the new cars arrive for inspection.
The "all weather" excursion coach, with its freshly varnished solid black walnut timbers, and canvas rolls in the event of early season snow or the occasional monsoonal rains coming up from the Gulf :

Nice piccies Steve. Can I ask, is that station a Pola kit? Or scratch?

the station is a piko kit-it comes in sand or white stucco-there are two matching 'adobe' style buildings-a mission church (really a cereal box-rather square, and a small admin office-)

all can be dressed up with details as they are stark, and sterile like many of the PIKO offerings, and softened i think, by using more appropriate windows-the frames and mullions are siply to euro (which i have yet to do-and i shall likely paint mine blue-a 'spirit' color in the southwest)

these buildings are rather sterile and dull out of the box,
but the walls and major components are very robust and a very high quality-perhaps the most weather worthy ive ever come accoss-thick plastic- really thick -and simple construction -the doors and windows and wood freight platform are a mid quality styrene-not cheap not great-galzing is cheap thin actetate like plastic -to be cut to size, not the nice thick stylene plates pre fitted like POLA

however there is no other offering in the style

dont know what dollhouse stores offer in the UK , but here in Denver, there are actually southwestern offerings, thus the terra cotta pots and cacti, the larger handled pots were oddball purchases from guatamala -several decades old -a ubiquitous string of chili peppers is missing-but one can use apinted caraway on thread soaked with glue-right pita to assemble tho-mexcan ads are available on line for the walls etc if you go new mexico mexico in feel rather than ariz or california
