For those of us who model in the modern era, or of course follow the guidelines of Rule 8, I picked up this 1/24 scale quad bike whilst on my hols.

It was in a Newsagents in Narberth Pembrokeshire. Branded "Teamsterz" and listed as a "Farm Quad" (looks more sports quad to me but hey ho), it comes with an item of livestock and a very odd looking hay bale. Has working rear suspension too, and all this for just £2.99.

Although shown as 1/24 scale on the box it looks pretty big next to a gscale figure so I think could easily pass for 1/20.3 or even 1/19 scale. I`ve pictured it alongside both a Gscale (Bachmann Scenecraft) figure and a 1/20 Schleich figure for comparison.

Also available in green and blue judging by the others that were on the shelf.

It's interesting the "G Scale" compatible items what you can pick up in unexpected places. If you keep your eyes open. There is a shop on the main drag at Portmadoc (wonder what took me there) selling the usual "pocket money" seaside tat. Found "G Scale" farm animals for £1.99p a bag of ten. W&L cattle trucks now well populated and there are afew wild pigs and horses around the layout now :) . Also got a Schleich well (well my line is the West Well Rail Road) and lumberjack with chainsaw and tree for under £10, marked down at the local toy shop :) :) Max.
