Cheap coca cola cars

Goodmorning .

I,m looking for cheap coca cola cars .

Like with no original box , or a little damage .

They only seem to come up 'cheap' in the US.. Problem is then the carriage costs, and tax when they reach your Country! - Only worth doing if you get ALL you want in one go, really..
** Research how much your local courier will charge you to collect the tax on your governments behalf..
Example: Tends to cost UKP 8 to 15 for the privilege here, on top of the 20% tax.

One option is to get some 'red and white' stock, and then approach a local Coke representative.. If you can get stickers of a suitable size, you can make something quite presentable. - We did this with some 'HSB' red and cream coaches..

I've seen Coca Cola cars on eBay. I presume that you are talking about tank cars. I believe that LGB made them but generally those are two axle. On this side of the pond I'm generally looking for 4 axle cars. If I ever see a deal on a nice 4 axle Coca Cola tanker, I'd go for it.

Sadly, I've noticed that prices on G scale rolling stock have gone up noticeably in just this past year. It might have something to do with the changes in LGB ownership and the demise of Aristo-Craft, both great manufacturers.

To match the rising prices, and to add more sadness to the plight of model railroaders the world over, the cost of shipping has skyrocketed. I'm in California and numerous folks in New York are charging $40 USD to ship a single G Scale freight car across the country. Even if the price of the car is reasonable, the shipping is a non-starter.

Hope for better times. LOL

....and for an extra $20, they will send it all the way to New Zealand.

Another option that can work out very cheep is to cut the advertising of Packaging or even from Glossy Magazines and stick that on your cars. You could even Scan it to Print on Sticky Print Paper to apply to vehicles.

So long as it is for your own use you should not infringe any copyrights. But if you were to sell them on by Ebay, well you really could be in a world of hurt. The photo paper sticky option is easily removable should you need to.

OK, the UK is a lot smaller than the US, but I just got a bogie car delivered for £3.95 which I considered very reasonable.
(Garden Railway Centers if you want to know) At this price I guess they may be subsidising it, but if that's their way of doing business then great.

The postal rates in the USA suffered a massive hike a few years ago - they're pretty horrendous now, nearly as much as postage from Germany :D:D:D:D:D

Big box from Germany - 16 Euro. Not too bad, about £14.50., but soon we will be hit by the 'customs handling charge', VAT and maybe duty. That'll kill it.

How about finding a suitable image from a web site and downloading it to a suitable application, where it can be resized to your requirements and then printed direct to water transfer paper. Probably slot easier than using magazine pictures.
