Central Virginia Outside Braced Caboose

Apologies, it is not my intention to take over your forum with my 'junk'...I just wish to introduce myself with what I have recently done so you may get an idea of who I am and what makes me tick!

I have two railroads on my mythical pike, the L&I named after my kids (Leah and Ian) and the Central Virginia named after my wife. The two roads merged to form the L&I Central though a mix of various paint schemes can still be found on the line. Here is my latest scratch...A NG caboose for the Central Virginia...Just finished a few weeks ago.

Again I started with a Bachmann flat but this one required major modification to the wheel base and car ends...The arrow points to the original position, the one to the left is the new...

I had to remove these beams as they interfered with the rotation of the bogies...

You can see the difference here along with the cut-out for the steps...

It ain't junk! Nice modelling it is though. You just keep posting - it's nice to be able what other Forum members are doing! It's not that we steal ideas mindst you - we just file them away for future reference. My only problem is my file retrieval system!

beautiful, and very informative pics

I wish I could solder ladders (or anything) as nicely

great looking piece of equipment, and a really lovely livery too-
