Centenarian

Hillwalking, chickens and - err - garden railways.

Today (Sunday) we hosted a party for a 100yr old aunt.
Not one of the guests had seen a garden railway but even my basic layout went down remarkably well.
The centenarian liked "her" loco too:

A pity the headboard is wonky but that was after 7hrs running!
It almost didn't happen, 48hrs before the tender refused to run, fiddling with the skates produced no improvement so I fell back on a couple of squirts of WD40 and she ran non-stop.

Congratulations to your Aunt and on a nice looking job done on the loco.

congrats to both your aunt, and a very good idea of naming a loco, luv it.

What a very nice (and unusual) tribute:thumbup:

There was one casualty of the party.
When I came to run the stock this morning I found this young lady had been out all night and was still legless.:rolf:
