As mentioned on another thread i've built a gauge 3 cattle wagon, so still g scale :-)

Its a GRS kit with some of the usual issues. Resin ends were cast too thin but get away with it as it looks like rotten timbers. Instructions were not great. I always struggle with them as they refer to what the parts would be called in real life but never know what bit that is in the bags of castings. Anyway my first attempt at weathering, so no laughing at the back.

Currently have a GRS LMS gards van on the go at the moment ( having some issues with it- buffers are only good for the bin) and once its done will either finish off the Class 08 shunter ( another story there as well) or get on with a semi scratch built BR open wagon using a GRS chassis and body ends.

Very nice job- you need one of the mooing sound effect units in there, like Beavercreek Mike's cattle cars, where the Moos get more frantic as the car rocks around! :bigsmile:

Never tried a GRS kit myself - I take it that the instructions are a little on the vague side?

by the fact there is a cup of tea in the background it was ok to build, had it not been I find Cider helps!

I know they're pretty bad but as they're made of paper they can serve at least one useful purpose .... unlike Piers Morgan

PS - Cracking good model BTW Hornbeam - you clearly found your way through the vagaries of the GRS instruction sheet - you must let me know what brand of cider you drink it clearly works wonders!

wow...nice piece of work.

Impressing.

You did find a very good relation between detailing and expression, especially the painting i think makes a good image.

It looks right, what more could i say except - glad to see that you remembered to 'install' the cattle before you fitted the roof -- - contrary to my efforts!!
