A great afternoon out for me and Cara! (Spookily, my granddaughter's name is Cara and my first live steam loco is a CARAdoc, so guess why I've named her that?
)
Chris Mann (thecsmann) kindly offered to let me run her on his railway. I had a lovely afternoon there - in fact so good that I didn't take as many photos as I thought
: because we spent so much time chatting. I could have sworn that I took more than just these 2 dead boring ones!
Cara steaming up:
Ready for the 'off':
I did however, manage to take some vids which I'll post link to when I've uploaded them (they involve a slight altercation with a tree branch and a tiny derailment
)
Thanks Chris, you answered a lot of questions from me about running live steam today and proved that a railway doesn't have to be huge to be fun. Cheers mate!
Next visit is to wpandyr's railway on Friday - looking forward to it (if the weather holds!)
