Morning folks in bright sunshine and deep snow

Confined to barracks have just knocked up this girder bridge from angle aluminium (off cuts from making Aston Martins I am told!!!!) and steel straps. Am rather pleased with myself hence its posted here. Am very much a "bodger" rather than you excellent painstaking modellers.

However reason for being here is that my other project is a turntable. Have got a wooden deck that fits on an old record player drive. That part all works but am left wondering about best way to supply current to the track. Any ideas out there or perhaps past experience?

Are you DCC?

If so, maybe you could use a Massoth Reversing Module....

When you say "Old record player drive" i hope its not old as in mains type voltage not sure thats the best thing to have outside
If you want to truely bodge it try an "a pushbike wheel and tire as your turn table with a 12v/24v motor running on the tire then the speed can be regulated quite well

Thanks for concern as to my well being. Not to worry. Have stripped out all old electrics except motor which runs happily on an old DC controller and gives good slow rotation even with the weight of an engine on it.

We built a 10' bridge from that strip the base was boxed steel and you could stand on it Les
